When we engaged 200 men in 2022 to find out the knowledge gap on career barriers against young women in the workplace from the men’s perspective, some things came to our realization.
- 27.5% of our respondents attested that their male colleagues have at some point harassed another female colleague while 72.5% responded with a ‘no’.
- 69% of our respondents affirmed that their organizations don’t have anybody to report sexual harassment cases.
- 99% of these men agreed that more women experience harassment than men.
These figures say a lot and beyond saying a lot, so much needs to be done to put an end to this peril.
Also, young women should not hide cases of harassment as the more they keep this abuse to themselves, the more the perpetrators would get the strength to do more.
